London Warehouse Events, better known as LWE have spent the last 3 years putting on some of London’s most cutting edge events, establishing themselves as kings of the warehouse scene. The combination of unusual locations, bespoke production, killer sound and an obsessive attention to detail has meant prominent success. Delivering over 34 blistering, sold out shows across the capital as well as putting on their first sold out Brixton Academy alongside RAM Records. But probably their biggest success story was their New Years Day event at the amazing, grade 1 listed building, Tobacco Dock with some huge artists on the bill. It was truly a moment in club land that many people won’t forget. This time round on the 9th of August, the event coming up at Tobacco Dock won't be any less memorable...
We welcome one of London’s hottest promoters, Percolate, to host the newly discovered Vaults. First up we have a duo of female DJ's that are taking the house scene apart right now, Dinky and Kate Simko. Portuguese disco head Social Disco Club rounds off the Percolate guests, bringing with them a record crate that is guaranteed to bring the summer vibes. In support are residents Krywald and Farrer aka the Percolate DJ's who will be warming up proceedings.
Metro Area will headline and round off the full lineup in the Percolate room. With their influence reaching into every corner of electronic music, their ability to arrange the best elements of disco in perfect synchronicity and untouchable originality has given them a timeless sound. Summer In The City will be an extremely rare opportunity to see these pioneering musicians play in the UK.
LWE will host the main room and have handpicked a selection of the hottest names in house and techno – a blistering blend of classic summer sounds. We’ll have old school pedigree with a new twist in the form of Groove Armada and DJ Sneak, plus it’s LWE debut for is Lee Foss, who continues to soar on his ascent through the ranks both as a solo artist and a quarter of Hot Natured. Anja Schneider, an LWE and TD favourite, returns to tear up the main room and rounding things off are legendary London party starters and hot of the back of their debut compilation on Defected, krankbrother Mathew Jonson and recent game changers Waze & Odyssey.
This time, down in the car-park, they have called on Damian Lazarus to play host and he’s assembled an almighty array of his Crosstown Rebels. Calling on Subb- An who is set to release his debut album on the label this year; and has a mercurial ear for breaking down the barriers between “can” and “can’t” with his live sets. Watergate resident and Cocolino Records founder SIS joins the Rebel Rave; bringing groovy house and techno that’ll sit perfectly alongside Clive Henry in a bunker that represents the best of the current Crosstown Rebels roster. Not forgetting the incredible Mathew Jonson who will bring one of his legendary live sets to the depths of Tobacco Dock.
If this was all, you are mistaken. MEOKO has a special competition for you guys which includes:
- pair of tickets to Tobacco Dock
- pair of ear plugs from EarPeace
- Krankbrother compilation CD
- Crosstown Rebels CD
- Mobilee release

Half Baked Records came to life in early 2013 as part of the HBF Agency, representing love for deep house sunday-afternoon events. The record label was created in order to complete the Half Baked platform in the modern music industry and as an output for the music of the Half Baked residents and international guests.
Half Baked Records releases on vinyl only as a symbol of their passion for underground dance music and the belief in the physical persistency and value of the wax format. The philosophy is as simple as demanding: bringing innovation & playfulness through great producers of the underground scene, releasing their music internationally while operating as a "family".
Guess what though, theres some special Half Baked magic coming up at the beautiful of La Terrrazza in Barcelona, where dancing under the sun and stars becomes a euphoric experience...The event happening on the 12th of June is a promise of 14hours of fun. It wouldn’t a kept promise without some extra festivities, so come and let one of the lovely girls paint your faces, take some funny photos in the photo booth and don't forget to pick up some flowers for your hair for that extra summery touch. La Terrrazza will be transformed into a summer paradise, perfect for an open air party!
Of course we have not forgotten the music, and boy are there going to be some good acts for you guys! Detroit legend Mike Huckaby will be playing his only show at Off Week exclusively for Half Baked, alongside him, HALF HAWAII (AKA Bruno Pronsato + Sammy Dee) will be making their Off Week debut with their mind-blowing live set - you don’t want to miss this! Also, Thomas Melchior, the man behind one of the most successful tracks on Half Baked records with his remix of Mike Shannon’s “Slip It”
Joining guests include the star studded group of Half Baked residents and agency artists to round off the lineup of one our favourite parties every year. Names such as Seuil along with Le Loup who make Hold Youth together, Mike Shannon, Birdmakingmachine (live) as well as Rudolf, Enrico Mantini, Robin Ordell and finally, Greg Brockmann. MEOKO has been digging in the deep to bring you the best in up and coming brands and designers for the coolest and most unique creations out there. Each brand representing positivity, creativity and a fun and friendly vibe, to tie in with what we stand for here at MEOKO. Over the up coming weeks we’ll be presenting some our favourites, as well as some fresh undiscovered talents for you to feast your eyes on.
This time we went to the land of craft and quality, other than fabulous design mecca: Italy.
Gloria Bellardi produces minimalistic garments rigorously made in Italy with top materials and fabrics. Her designs go beyond seasonal trends in favour of a timeless style.
Gloria was born in Italy, where she attended the renowned Marangoni institute in Milan and collaborated with big names of fashion, like Vivia Ferragamo and Roberto Cavalli.
In 2011 she moved to London. Since then, she worked for Traffic People and several other brands as a freelancer, and she also attended a footwear design course at Central Saint Martins.
Gloria became experienced enough to open her own label last year, at very young age.
The philosophy behind her quarterly capsule collections of unique pieces is to produce versatile items that can be used throughout the year. Her clean designs are made special by innovative cuts and shapes, great attention to details and, of course, excellent fabrics.
For MEOKO's readers, Gloria decided to offer as prize a simple, sexy yet sophisticated bodysuit, made of cotton jersey & pure silk. Soft and comfortable, is perfect for clubbing: pair it with skinny, high-waisted jeans or slouchy pants for a more laid back style; and for hot summer days, dare wearing it on its own, with an extravagant bumbag – cool and super comfy!
