Croatia’s festival plain is fully utilized these days, with dozens of festival and boutiques popping over the country from Zagreb to Pag. But situated at the country’s original festival site – The Garden, Tisno – is Electric Elephant, a small capacity, intimate 5 day festival that focuses on the sights and sounds of the local area, featuring a line up that’s bound by musical taste and maximum festival fun, rather than the hot-to-trot, disposable names that frequent festivals in 2014.
The Garden Festival hands over to Electric Elephant as it draws to a close through an opening/closing party, preparing the residents for another week-long party, this year featuring Simian Mobile Disco, Francois K, Prosumer, The Emperor Machine, Munk, Soul Jazz Soundsystem, Horse Meat Disco and many more. And what Croatian festival would be complete without a series of daytime boat parties for those wishing for a little adventure in their lives? Crisp beats, blue seas and warm skies – what more do you want?

Farr Festival may sound like its worlds away from the smog filled metropolis of London. Surrounded by an enclosed woodland space, deep in the Essex countryside, Farr Festival seeks to take the festival-goer on an immersive musical experience, featuring cutting edge sound, music and installation in an event that feels a million miles away from home. But it’s not… it’s right on our doorstep, meaning there’s no excuse whatsoever to head down and get lost in the woods for three days of serious hedonism.
Celebrating five years in the business, Farr Festival 2014’s line up is their largest yet, planting electronic names such as Scuba, Tom Trago, Kim Ann Foxman and Ame live alongside more bassier heroes such as dBridge, Marcus Intalex and South London Ordnance. From their humble beginnings in 2008 (centered around a broken down caravan that eventually evolved into a stage) to holding reputation as one of the coolest boutique festivals in the country, Farr festival’s magic lies in the rich, rolling countryside and secluded feel that centers around its core.
Last year's craziness
In the run up to the festival, we’ve got an exclusive prize to give away to 3 lucky MEOKO fans specially branded, bespoke Farr Festival x Dr Banana baseball caps, to ensure that you stay fresh and cool this Summer (we don’t mean your hygiene habits either). In order to impress your friends and bag one of these exclusive head garments, all you have to do is Like and Share THIS IMAGE.

What happens when you mix one of the biggest live electronic acts in modern music and combine them with one of the most reliable and trusted compilation brands in the world? Fireworks. And lots of them.
As German ensemble Brandt Bauer Frick prepare to release the 48th installment (yes, the 48th!) in !K7's ubiquitous DJ Kicks! mix series, popular London party Ubermax continue the fine run of form that defined their 2013 parties by inviting the trio to London for an intimate party at Hackney Wick's Autumn Street Studios on May 9th. Laying down their instruments in favour of turntables, they will play back-to-back for 4 hours straight, no doubt delivering the same intricate and unique track selection that can be found on their forthcoming mix. They'll be supported by Ubermax residents CHVK and Sigmund K on the evening, and of course, Ubermax's faithful crowd who have helped to make the brand one of the coolest underground promoters in the city today.
MEOKO are furnishing with one of our lucky faithful with the chance to win a finished copy of the DJ kicks! compilation, plus 4 tickets for you to treat your friends to a nice night out. All you have to do is answer the following question:
Who mixed the very first instalment of the DJ Kicks! series in 1997?
