BUNKER BLOC is on a mission. A mission to showcase exceptional underground UK and international talent, “spreading the love and spirit of house music”, at unique and unconventional venues in cities throughout the U.K, from London, Essex, Birmingham, Manchester, Brighton, Newcastle and more. For its launch in the capital, Bunker Bloc is teaming up with Fondation Records to celebrate their newest release, Marc Ashken’s ‘Better Place’ EP.
To showcase a selection of some of the underground’s finest champions of the deeper 4/4 side of life, Bunker Bloc have chosen one of the most loved and unique spaces in East London, The Victorian Vaults. Based in Old Street, right in the heart of the East London buzz, the 19th-century headquarters of the United Kingdom Tea Company Ltd with its alcoves and high ceilings will undoubtedly be an awesome backdrop to Bunker Bloc’s first London party.

Headlining is Fuse resident, Alex Arnout, whose twenty years of experience in the game marks him out as one of London’s true house veterans. Be it trip hop, broken beat, or house, Arnout has always been experimental and innovative. He’s released on Crosstown, Hot Creations, Phonetic and Fear Of Flying but it’s through his own imprint, Dogmatik, that he’s been able to really champion the deep house sounds of himself and those around him. Famously launching the career of Maya Jane Coles, Dogmatik is today the strongest it’s ever been, flying the flag in 2013 for eclectic and extremely playable house music, a club sound that’s hard to disregard especially when selected and mixed so effortlessly by Arnout himself.

Also bringing the noise is Danton Eeprom, the French-born, London-based force best known for his collaboration with Radio Slave on the techno classic ‘Grindhouse’. With his second album ‘All Dressed Up and Nowhere To Go’ being released imminently, alongside the return and resurgence of his label Fondation Music, 2013 is looking to be the prime moment to exercise his itchy fingers and restless pursuit for innovation.

Leftroom’s Marc Ashken, the true centre of the party, will be celebrating the launch of his new EP, ‘Better Place’ featuring LOiS on Fondation Music, after a hectic 2012 in which he had releases on Get Physical, OKO, Save You and many more.
Lastly, David Frank, co-founder and resident Bunker Bloc DJ, completes the bill. Having grown up with a musical background and extreme passion for beats, it seems only natural that he's behind the exciting new project that is Bunker Bloc....
MEOKO have teamed up with Bunker Bloc to give ONE of you the chance to win a massive hamper of goodies including: 4 x VIP tickets to the party PLUS Dogmatik vinyl from Maya Jane Coles, Alex Arnout & Dusky PLUS Marc Ashken's EP on vinyl!
