Bank Holiday Easter Weekend 2012 – London's Top 10 Parties
With well over a hundred events taking place in the capital over the course of the upcoming Easter Weekend, Meoko thought it only polite we try and provide you with a much abridged rundown of the Top 10 best parties London has to offer between Thursday 5th and Sunday 8th. Starting with..
Thursday 05.04 - Roto with Danny Daze & Miguel Campbell at Warehouse
Danny Daze (Hot Creations)
Miguel Campbell (Hot Creations, Outcross)
Roto do their bit to keep the Hot Natured/Hot Creations bandwagon rolling on this Easter Thursday with an exclusive party featuring two of the year's most sought after and celebrated performers. Expect to hear wild, sexy house beats, making this the perfect party for anyone who didn't manage to make it to Miami last week.
2200 - 0600
Hasting Wood Trading Estate, Harbet Road, N18 3HT.
Thursday 05.04 - mulletover 8th Birthday: The story so far.. 2004-2012 at Pulse
Carl Craig presents 69 Live
Maya Jane Coles
Celebrating 8 wonderfully successful years in the promotion game this Thursday, mulletover have upped-and-moved from Proud2 at the Millenium Dome to the city's newest superclub, Pulse. Hosting the London debut of Carl Craig's brand new 69 Live show, as well as sets from Maya Jane Coles and UK bass poster boys Midland and George Fitzgerald, this promises to be (another) birthday bash to remember.

Thursday 05.04 - Secretsundaze Easter Thursday at Village Underground
Lawrence (Dial, Smallville, Laid)
Tevo Howard (Beautiful Granville, Rush Hour)
October (Skudge, TANSTAAFL)
Giles Smith (Two Armadillos, Secretsundaze)
James Priestley (Simple, The Camp, Secretsundaze)
Secretsundaze are so popular amongst the capital's dwellers that they needn't even throw their parties on Sundays anymore. Thursday's event is all set to be another sell-out show, showcasing the best in deep, soulful house, with a light smattering of alternative UK action in the form of Bristolian October. These guys don't put on bad parties, simple as.
0900 – 0600
54 Holywell Lane, Shoreditch, EC2A 3PQ.
Friday 06.04 – Hessle Audio at fabric
Space Dimension Controller
If you're looking for something a bit different this Easter Weekend, Hessle Audio's fabric takeover should be just the ticket. Masters of that rich, glorious niche between house, techno and UK bass, the Hessle boys are joined by Celtic wonderkids Space Dimension Controller and Jackmaster in room 2. The pick of the bunch has to be room 3 however, with a SDC b2b Jackmaster (disco set), a Ben UFO (garage set) and a Braiden (boogie set) all on the cards. Special.
2200 - 0700
£16+/£10 Students until Midnight/£12 fabricfirst
77a Charterhouse St, Clerkenwell, EC1M 3HN.
Friday 06.04 - Excuse The Mess at Basing House
ANA (Harry Klein)
Excuse The Mess return to East London this Friday to host another of their organic, intimate affairs. Headlining Basing House will be ANA, one of Europe's most respected warm-up DJs, and London based DJ, producer and owner of Serialism Records, Onirik. ETM parties rarely disappoint; I very much doubt this event will buck the trend.
25 Kingsland Road; Shoreditch, E2 8AA.
Friday 06.04 - Kubicle Afterparty at ?
Kubicle Residents + More TBA..
Kubicle have been kings of the East London afterparty scene for some years now. With a host of extra-special guests planned for Friday morning's event (Matt Tolfrey and Subb-an both featured last year), this has to be the party to be at if you're looking to keep that Thursday night vibe well and truly alive.

Saturday 07.04 - Weekend Circuit at Rhythm Factory
Derrick May (3 Hour Set)
Fact: Revellers are going to find themselves more than spoilt for choice this Saturday night. However, with one of the true pioneers of the Detroit techno movement playing an exclusive 3 hour set in the intimate surroundings of Whitechapel's Rhythm Factory, Derrick May at Weekend Circuit might just blow all other alternatives out of the water..

16-18 Whitechapel Road , Whitechapel, E1 1EW
Saturday 07.04 - Bad Apple at Basing House
Christian Burkhardt (Cocoon, Oslo, Raum…Musik)
Lone (R&S, Magic Wire)
Josef Lupo (Tokyo on Acid, Tackside Audio)
Our second featured Basing House event sees German tech-house veteran Christian Burkhardt return to London to play for Bad Apple. Joining him will be eclectic DJ and producer Lone, who's had a string of underground hits on R&S, XL and Wigflex. Pure quality on offer here.

25 Kingsland Road; Shoreditch; London E2 8AA; United Kingdom
Sunday 08.04 - 2020 Vision Easter Special at Village Underground
2020 continue their run of popular day/night warehouse events at Village Underground on Sunday. Joining head honcho Ralph Lawson will be man-of-the-moment Huxley, brand-new label signing And.id and Mobilee stalwart Sebo K. Always pushing the freshest, most lively sounds around, these guys are certainly worth considering, even if it is just for a relaxed, end-of-the-weekend dance.
1800 – 0600
54 Holywell Lane, Shoreditch, EC2A 3PQ
Sunday 08.04 – Need2Soul Presents Body&Soul at Oval Space
Lights by Ariel
1600 – 0000
29-32, The Oval, E2 9DT
And finally. These three really need no introduction. With over 120 years of musical experience between them, the Body&Soul crew are set to show London what disco and house are all about come Sunday evening. While it might at first seem a little pricey, these shows come around so infrequently and are said to be so unbelievably enjoyable that I have a sneaking suspicion it might just be worth it. Personally, this can be the only way to wrap up the best weekend of 2012 so far.
