Here’s one for our Germany-based readers. Love Family Park, the long-running yearly day-long event returns on July 28 in Rüsselsheim-am-Main, close to Frankfurt. This is the first time the summery celebration settles in this small town, but the settings amongst the green Main meadows promises to be breathtaking.
Of course, if the meadows don’t do the trick, then have a look at the line-up: it’s only big-hitters — two or three of them would be your average festival’s headliners, but here there’s more than twenty of them, sharing the decks over the various stages for 12 hours, from 10 AM to 10 PM. Quite a few of them return to the festival, such as Solomun or Chris Liebing, but there’s some new faces too, with the rising techno star from Belgium Amelie Lens, or the more established Maceo Plex.
There’s quite a variety of flavours too, with the unpredictable minimalist maestro Ricardo, Detroit-via-Ibiza hero Richie Hawtin, or the ever-amazing Nina Kraviz — I’ll never tire to sing her praises, as no other DJ of her stature is such a risk-taker, juggling hard trance and experimentally-tinged cuts with the techno her crowds expect.
Last but not least, Sven Väth is announced for the main stage closing. The German veteran and Love Family Park regular will play in his home turf and is at its best in this kind of big celebrations. Whether it’s your first time or 20th seeing him, there’s no doubt you’ll understand the adoration his fans have for the Cocoon boss.
Here’s the full line-up in alphabetical order: Adriatique, Amelie Lens, andhim, Boris Brejcha, Butch, Chris Liebing, Dixon, Dominik Eulberg live, Fritz Kalkbrenner live, Karotte, Lexy & K-Paul live, Loco Dice, Maceo Plex, Moonbootica, Nina Kraviz, Oliver Koletzki, Pan-Pot, Ricardo Villalobos, Richie Hawtin, Seth Troxler, Solomun, Sven Väth.
If you want a taste of Ibiza in the German countryside, then look no further and book your tickets for Love Family Park.
