Join us as we take an exclusive look inside the world of Cure Music’s very own, MomoTrosman; A curator of enchanting journeys with a unique sense of direction, a true purveyor of experimentation. This is due to his vast and mature knowledge of sounds, committed to collecting records around the world discovering new genres, and if it moves him, he is not afraid to play it. The native Argentinian absorbs such a variation of rhythms but says himself ‘I have been very influenced by Detroit and Chicago, and by house music from NYC in the 90’s.’2011 was the year Trosman made the transition in to club booths.
From early on he proved his ability to grasp the room, and transform the atmosphere with his preferable extended sets. Each time painting an individual picture depending on the setting around him, an ability in itself is being able to adapt, in and create these special moments. Although still at a young age four European tours, and various trips around globe have allowed him to spread his forward thinking interpretations in some of the best clubs across the board. Including, Berlin's Club Der Visionaere and Watergate, Moscow's Gazgolder & Rodnya and Outcast, Torino. It goes without saying that Trosman has built a reputation in his home country, playing various clubs and parties in Buenos Aires.
Late 2015 truly was the start of something beautiful as he teamed up with fellow South American Felipe Valenzuela and Cure Music was born. Going forward with a special concept and true belief; ‘Music allows you to stop thinking and let go of your problems, and surely has a healing function’. Even in this short space of time there has been an incredibly solid output from the label, with each release spearheaded by high quality artists and producers from around the globe. Zendid stepped up first with ‘Fortu’ and this sold out within three days of release; talk about start as you mean to go on. Since the debut Cure Music have churned out releases from Afriqua, Omni A.M. and most recently this August saw the ‘Hipnoise’ Ep from Federico Molinari.
MomoTrosman is a name you need to familiarise yourself. Embrace the sounds you are hearing with an open mind, and appreciate a lifetime of devotement to new rhythms. Cure Music will continue to be your minds third eye, focusing on limitless productions edging away from the norm, but always a lively encounter.
