Third Phase Announced for UP Festival Prague

If you're into dance music (and if you aren't, you're in the wrong place) and looking for a new boutique festival to jet off to this summer, look no further. Cheap beer, underground sounds, enough sun for a tan (or burn)? Surely nobody can say no to that.

An unmissable new musical movement is coming to beautiful Prague (where beer is cheaper than water) this year courtesy of UP Festival. The event will provide 72 hours of pure celebration and peace, with mind-blowing light and sound thanks to over 50 artists on four unique stages (one indoor and three outdoor). The festival are also collaborating with digital media studios for audiovisual performances, so be ready to have your mind BLOWN.

As we're the festival’s official media partner, and as we do LOVE to treat you lot, we're here to give you all the exclusive content in the run-up to UP. Already announced are underground legends Ricardo Villalobos, Sonja Moonear and Magda, and this third phase announcement certainly raises the excitement.

3RD-RELEASE-NAMES final

The third phase announcement reveals exciting names such as Vera, Francesco Del Garda, Gescu, Ferro, Fernando Costantini, Vlada, Hamid and Clovis.

Resident Advisor name LA native Clovis, an exciting new line-up addition, as “one of the foremost underground DJs to rise from the city in the past decade”. As a producer, his artistic investigations into all forms of world sounds make for an ever-changing listening experience, making him one the must-sees of the festival.

Another addition to the line-up is Gescu, who’s sure to bring the festival new levels. Gescu is a constant on the Romanian electronic scene, but also travels far and wide to treat the world to his faultless mixing style.

But it’s also a fantastic occasion to familiarize yourself with the local scene: to name a few of them, DJ Schwa, Yan & Alfred Czital of Harmony Rec. spin all shades of dubby techno; Fatty M is a local hero that brought the likes of Derrick May and San Proper to Prague with his Kom!ks warehouse parties; em ju es aj si is into the dark Berlin techno (based in Prague) that he helped bring to Czech Republic with his Polygon parties; and Bruno Curtis is the founder of Round UP.

UP Festival will take place over three days from May 11-13th 2018. It will take place at Vystaviste Holesovice, one of the oldest landmarks in Prague. You may as well book for the whole week so you can explore all the incredible monuments and museums around the area.....or just the bars and clubs (did we mention The Czech Republic consumes more beer per capita than any other country).

Tickets are already on second release through the official UP Festival website and Resident Advisor.
