Gracing the sacred decks at MEOKO HQ this week is Rainer Serrat, Barcelona-born, twenty something DJ and producer. Raised on the forward thinking sets of Jeff Mills, Ricardo Villalobos and Richie Hawtin, Rainer soon set about carving out his own place in the scene, deciding to move the English capital to pursue music full-time. Today, Rainer DJs regularly for infamous Sunday session Halfbaked and has notched up releases on Serialism and Desolat, to name but a few. The mix itself is an undulating, 75 minute excursion through the deeper recesses of tech-house, with Rainer opting to craft a mix better suited to the relaxed confines of home listening, as opposed to the peak time dance-floor. Having said that, there's no beatless, wishy-washy IDM here, just pure, groovy, gutsy music for you to sink your teeth into. Don't believe us? Have a listen for yourselves.
